Trend Report: Crushing on Velvet

It’s fair to say that velvet’s having a moment in the world of home decor. MissPrint bedding: my dream duvet covers

Mustard yellow bedding set from John Lewis, perfect for the eclectic style bedroom!

I love MissPrint bedding. I think the company's designs are the perfect choice for an eclectic style, bold and bright bedroom. I'm a huge fan of the company's retro prints, playful designs and vivid colours. The mustard dandelion print duvet cover (pictured below) is one of my favourite designs by MissPrint.  (You can shop it here at John Lewis).  MissPrint designed the cheery duvet cover exclusively for John Lewis's 150th birthday celebrations.   The company say the bedding set fuses "contemporary quality with retro design". I saw this bedding set in person at John Lewis a few weeks ago and I just knew it was 'blogworthy.' I fell in love with it straight away. Where else can I buy MissPrint bedding? In addition to John Lewis, you can find MissPrint bedding ... [Read More]

Spray bottle via Raw Pixel

It's chilly outside and the grass is dusted with snow, but we're in the final throws of winter here in the UK.   Spring is just around the corner. Now’s the time for fresh beginnings as flowers begin to bloom. We can look forward to lighter nights and brighter days. However, there is one drawback to the sun streaming through our windows at this time of year!  It illuminates all of those dusty nooks and crannies. We notice that our ceilings are decorated with spider webs and the paint on our skirting boards needs a refresh.  It must be time for a spring clean!  Here are five of my tried and tested tips: #1 - Slow and steady wins the race: There’s a secret to spring cleaning: don’t even try to tackle EVERYTHING at once. You’re not going to get your list of jobs ... [Read More]
