Mood Board Monday: Bold & bright

I’m craving big, bold, bright splashes of colour and contrasting, clashing hints of neon at the moment.  I don’t know whether I’ve been influenced by the onset of spring and the fact the summer is now on the horizon? Or perhaps I’ve just been reading too many interior design blogs and magazines, these hues are everywhere at the moment.

Here’s what’s on my mood board right now:

modern bold and bright mood board

From left, clockwise:

Neon bottle – These bottles come in a rainbow of bold and bright neon ombre colours – perfect for pepping up your dining room table.  I love the pink, blue and mint.  These are a must for summer BBQs and parties.  £6 each from OliverBonas.com

Colourful cushion – This brightly coloured cushion from Kangan Arora will add a little life to an otherwise bland black or grey sofa.  The screen-printed design is inspired by the brightly coloured kites that are flown during the Uttarayan Festival in Gujarat, North India.  Comes in three different colour ways for coordinating and clashing.  £60 each from Etsy.com

Two-tone chair – This quirky, vibrant chair will add a little flair to your living room.  The cobalt blue fabric back clashes with the vivid yellow fabric seat.  Perfect for the eclectic-style living room. £449.99 from FADS.co.uk

Two-tone bamboo bowl – This large bamboo display bowl will add a trendy pop of colour to any table or surface.  Comes in teal (pictured above) or mint, coral and copper.  £16 each from OliverBonas.com

Glass light pendant – I just love these Kartell Fly ceiling lights, and I could see one of these installed over my dining table.  Plenty of bold and bright colours to choose from – the yellow jumped out at me.  £171 from Design55Online.co.uk

Neon pop candle – I first saw this candle advertised in either Homemaker Magazine or Mollie Makes (I think it was the former).  They’re sold by an Etsy store that specialises in all things neon.  Warning, you WILL want to buy everything!  £7.95 from Etsy.com
